The Recruits
The Recruits is the student organization of the National Shellfisheries Association. It was formed under the direction of the NSA President Dr. Sandra Shumway, at the 1991 meeting held in Portland, Maine.
The Objectives of The Recruits:
- Encourage student involvement in the NSA
- Assist the Association as needed
The Activities of The Recruits:
- Staffing the sales booth during the Annual Meeting
- Assisting with audio/visual support for meeting presentations
- Organizing student social events (e.g., mixers, breakfasts, lunches)
- Writing a student-oriented, informational column for the NSA Quarterly Newsletter
